When the time comes for your companion to peacefully cross the rainbow bridge, we bring our compassionate end-of-life care services right to your doorstep to offer you the privacy and serenity of your own home during these final moments.
We believe that being surrounded by familiar sights, smells, and the loving presence of family members can bring immense solace and a sense of tranquility, ensuring your companion's comfort until the very end.
Dr. Alyssa is dedicated to creating a comforting environment for your companion's final journey, and approaches each situation with the utmost sensitivity, tailoring her approach to accommodate your unique needs and preferences.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A EUTHANASIA VISIT
Upon arrival, the veterinarian will discuss the process with you, as well as discuss any questions, concerns or requests you may have. Paperwork will be reviewed, and your aftercare choices will be confirmed.
Your companion will then be sedated with a combination of pain medications and sedatives, that allows them to drift into a tranquil sleep. Within 5 -20 minutes, they will reach a deep, anesthetized state to ensure that they feel no pain or stimulation.
Once they are fully sedated, the euthanasia solution will be administered which allows your pet to pass away peacefully without any discomfort.
If you have chosen for us to handle aftercare arrangements, we will then transport your companion for cremation services

Considering euthanasia for your companion is an extremely emotional thought process, and it can be distressing and confusing to navigate that decision. You may experience guilt or doubt about whether it is the right decision, or the right time.
The circumstances leading up to this process are also often challenging, as you may observe unsettling changes in your companion, be responsible for medical care procedures, or experience a change in their pain or suffering.
While the decision is never easy, having a professional assessment of your pet’s quality of life that considers not only their medical conditions, management options, mental health and prognosis, but also the family’s emotional status and ability to provide the care required, can be greatly beneficial.
